Liverpool John Lennon Airport is the closest airport to Liverpool City Centre and there are many transport links available if you are travelling from the airport to the city.

Bus and coach stops are located outside the main terminal building and include:

  • Airlink 500  – John Lennon Airport to Liverpool City Centre.  Stops include Norton Street Coach Station and Lime Street train station for mainline, regional and local rail connections.

The service operates every 20 minutes from Monday  to Friday and every 30 minutes at the weekend.

  • Additional bus services to and from the airport include the 80A every 15 minutes and 86A every 10 minutes.

Coach travel

If you are travelling to Liverpool via coach, you have a number of options available.
Both National Express and Megabus offer services from Liverpool city centre to various destinations around the UK.

National Express

The National Express coach station is located on Norton Street, a 5 minute walk from Liverpool city centre.

The Megabus pickup point is located to the right hand side of the Adelphi Hotel on Brownlow Hill within the city centre.

Rail travel

Lime Street Station is Liverpool’s mainline station with connection to all mainline services. It is located in the heart of Liverpool’s city centre and is a 5 minute walk from many of the events attractions.
