Food and drink
Food glorious food
For those who wish to eat and drink indoors check out the Visit Liverpool website for the vast array of restaurants, bars and cafes available in the city centre.
This is a great two day event and we want everybody to have a wonderful time, so we request that you drink responsibly and conduct yourself in a manner that is not going to cause offence, disruption or harm to yourself and others.
We want to ensure that everybody has a fantastic experience of Mathew Street. Here at Culture Liverpool we work very closely in partnership with Merseyside Police who support our stewards and security.
To make your visit safer and more enjoyable:
- Please drink sensibly and do not bring glass into the festival area.
- Use plastic bottles and dispose of them in the recycling bins provided.
- Alcohol can be consumed within the festival site between 11am and 6pm.
- When leaving the festival licensed area of the city and after 6pm on the event days, alcohol may not be consumed on the streets – with fines of up to £500 for breaching these laws.
- Alcohol may only be consumed in and around the stage areas. Under no circumstances can alcohol be consumed in the shopping areas of the city. Failure to adhere to this will lead to confiscation of alcohol and a fine of up to £500.
- A challenge 25 policy will be in place, so if you are lucky enough to look under 25, make sure you have ID available to purchase or consume alcohol at the festival.
Please note: If any of our security and police observe inappropriate behaviour or misconduct they have the right to confiscate any alcohol and remove you from the festival.
There will be a number of bins provided which will be emptied regularly. Please remember that we will be expecting a lot of visitors. To ensure our city is as clean and litter free as possible, we request that you use the bins provided and please recycle.
Join us in celebrating Liverpool’s Year of Health & Wellbeing.
